Blueprint Review:

"Building out a raw, NY loft space from a blank sheet of paper was a daunting task, but the one thing we knew is that we wanted the focal point to be the kitchen of our dreams. It had to be beautiful and functional for every day, and work well for the kind of casual entertaining and dinner parties that we imagined for the space. That's where Deborah Krasner came in. Since we were newly married, Deborah worked hard with us to assess the kind of home life we wanted to create and collaborated with our architect to make sure that form and function were closely aligned. She rigorously reviewed our design plans, gave her blessing to that which made good sense, and made sensible and practical changes which really improved the flow, look and usability of the space. Many thanks for Deborah for helping us realize our dream kitchen. We'd never do another kitchen without her help!"

"When we began an extensive remodel of our kitchen, I was delighted to learn of Deborah's blueprint review services. While I have been in the food business professionally, I had never had the opportunity to design a kitchen to suit my needs and it seemed daunting. After learning about us (everything from our heights to our style of entertaining) Deborah expertly wove those factors into the restrictions of the space and came up with some fantastic creative and logistical suggestions. We maximized space and work flow, and she has been an invaluable resource; her insights and experience really paid off for us."

Kitchen Design:

"Of all the kitchens I have had in my life, and there have been eight of my own, the one that Deborah Krasner helped me create in my apartment on the West Coast of Florida is the one in which I have worked most comfortably, efficiently, and serenely. Notwithstanding the original space that was awkwardly shaped and even cramped in places, the kitchen now feels roomy, everything that I need, the stove, the sinks, the oven, the work counters, the refrigerator are all in precisely the most convenient place. And there are a host of ingenious solutions that I am grateful to Deborah for, the toe kick drawers for all the platters I brought from Venice, the large steel-lined cubby holes under the stove for temporary storage of a hot or dirty skillet, the drop-down stainless shelf that extends the work area near the stovetop, the garages for a rollout garbage bin and for appliances, the pull-out shelves for pot lids of all sizes. It is, of course, a beautiful kitchen that several magazines have chosen to illustrate, but its beauty is really the beauty of ideas that work."

Seminars/Speeches:

Residential architecture/design takes a high level of relationship building between the design team and the client. Understanding how people want to live in the home is paramount to the success of the design process and ultimately the home. Kitchens are no different. Working with Deborah has helped update our consciousness about how kitchens function today. I have found her an eager teammate on a design team as well as an educator for our design department.
